OUR STORY

Frames that mean something

AeroShade was started in a London flat in 2025 — frustrated by the gap between throwaway sunglasses and frames that cost a month's rent.

WHY

We wanted frames we'd actually wear.

The £15 pair always broke. The £400 pair sat in the case 'for special occasions'. Nothing in the middle felt right — generic, drop-shipped, designed by a spreadsheet.

So we built our own. Designed in-house. Tested on real faces. Made in small batches by a workshop we know by name. Priced so you can wear them every day without thinking about it.

"We don't do drops because the algorithm tells us to. We drop when the frames are right."

HOW WE BUILD

Small batches. Long lifespans.

Every frame starts as a hand-drawn sketch in our London studio. We prototype in 3D, then mill samples, then test on real faces — including ours, our friends', our customers'. We refine until the fit, the weight, the balance is right.

Materials are over-spec'd on purpose: surgical-grade Italian acetate, German-engineered hinges, polarised lenses that block UV400. The kind of build that lasts five years, not five months.

WHO IT'S FOR

Women who buy once and wear often.

Our customer isn't chasing the next micro-trend. She's building a wardrobe — a closet of pieces that work together, last, and make her feel like herself. AeroShade is the frame in that wardrobe.
